The course explores collective creation through diverse lineages of devised performance and physical acting toward original work, and is offered as a challenging graduate-level course paired to THEATRST 348S. Tracing both historical and contemporary methods, collectives, and practitioners devising across space, time, body, object, media, and written texts, student will creatively wildcraft various materials in psychogeographic wanderings; audiovisual interviews; excavating personal histories, poetry, music, etc. Collaborating through a series of embodied research labs, students will share work with an invited audience in a final performance. Graduate paired course to THEATRST 348S will include assignments and a level of work of an advanced/graduate level nature.
