Job Announcement: Project Manager

A project manager is being sought to join a research team for the 2016-2017 academic year that includes faculty members from Duke and UNC-Chapel Hill and graduate and undergraduate students. The research will be conducted in Chapel Hill/Carrboro City Schools assessing the health of middle-school children as participants in an afterschool yoga program.  The research project is funded by the Bass Connections initiative at Duke University.

Duties will include:
-planning, scheduling, organizing and overseeing ongoing data collection; supervising student’s research activities; assisting in preparation of study data; overseeing recruitment of subjects; management of focus groups, managing and assisting with weekly team meetings. 

The position is for one year with the most active times occurring in late August, Sept, early Dec, Jan, March, and May. This is a part-time position, approximately 3-5 hours a week (occasionally more).  Candidate must have the ability to multi-task, excellent communication skills and be detail oriented. 

Preference will be given to individuals who have previous experience as study coordinators or projects managers on health projects. Ph.D preferred, but graduate students welcome to apply.
