Nathan Trice taught an open master class to the Advanced Modern class, Thursday January 29, 2015, 6:15-7:45pm. The master class was an introduction to Nathan's movement vocabulary, and an opportunity to audition for his Summer Intensive Project.
Nathan Trice is the founder and artistic director of nathantrice/RITUALS project-by-project dance theater based in NYC since 1998. He has choreographed, taught and performed nationally and internationally with his company, and previously as an original principal dancer with Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Donald Byrd/the group, MOMIX and Kevin Iega Jeff. He served ten years on faculty with Long Island University dance department, and has been a sought after guest artist in the academic dance world for the past 18 years. His movement is a virtuosic yet sinuous blend of traditional modern and contemporary techniques combining Tai Chi and gesture. Trice's projects have been known to possess high artistic/educational merit that addresses the human experience.
