Hailing from Jeréz de la Frontera on the western coast of Andalusia, dancer and choreographer Patricia Ibañez is a luminary of contemporary flamenco. Over a 20-year career she has shared the stage with the likes of Carmen Cortés, Eva Yerbabuena, and Farruquito while maintaining a prestigious dance academy in Jeréz, the center of Spanish flamenco. She and Abel Harana will be giving a flamenco masterclass that is free and open to the Durham community as part of their residency with Duke Performances.
