Yanique Hume, Ph.D. (Jamaica/Cuba/Barbados) — a professor of Cultural Studies at the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill, Dr. Hume holds a PhD in Comparative Studies in Culture, History and Social Theory from Emory University, and specializes in the multidisciplinary field of Caribbean Cultural Studies with a focus on Cuba and Haiti. Dr. Hume is also a professional dancer/choreographer who works in Afro-Caribbean forms.
