Overview

Ayan Felix (Gulf Coast) is a contemporary movement artist searching for methods of acknowledging black femme experiences in public spaces. She graduated from Franklin & Marshall College in 2016 with a neuroscience B.A. Ayan has since used scientific inquiry models to produce her artistic work towards expanding emotional intelligence and femme social constructs via contemporary movement styles. While in Houston she had the pleasure of joining the diverse legacy of Suchu Dance/Jennifer Wood, Dance Afrikana, Pilot Dance Project, and jhon r. stronks, as well as become a 2018-2019 Dance Source Houston resident artist. She aims to use her MFA to further uplift and explore black and brown emotional and performative bodies.
