Dance Improvisation

DANCE 152

Taking dance practice as our principal research method, this studio course invites students to practically engage with a range of cross-cultural approaches to movement improvisation in and beyond dance. Student work explores how improvisation contributes to the choreographic process, and we will also learn about significant artistic figures who use improvisation in their work. No dance training required. All interests and abilities are welcome. Instructor: Wilbur.
