Duke University Dance Program, ChoreoLab 2017

Choreographed and danced by McKenzie Middlebrooks

Music: “Nasib,” by Roy Auh

The "nasib" is a poem about love towards the oneness of the universe and mankind’s embracing it. By presenting this piece, we hope to demonstrate that Islam is a tradition of immense peace and profound love, which we can relate to in today’s time of hate and anger.

Choreography inspired by the exhibit "Gehorsam" at the Holocaust Museum in Berlin, Germany.
